Carrick charity shop reopens

BALLANTRAE’S BRICC charity shop opened its doors once again on Monday 21 January 2013.

BRICC has become famous far and wide for its fantastic array of books, toys, furniture, china, clothes and electrical equipment!. Where else can you buy a three-piece suite for under £20? Or find a warm winter coat for just £1?

Anyone who’s after a bargain looks for the Thrift Shop sign hanging on the fence outside 1O Main Street, Ballantrae.

Stocked purely by donations from the community and staffed by volunteers, the Thrift Shop was first opened in 1986 and raised an amazing £12,000 within the first six months.

Since then it’s gone from strength to strength and is now known far and wide as the place to go for anything from a thimble to a living room suite.

Open on weekdays from 10.00am—12noon and then again from 2.00pm—4.00pm and on Saturdays and Sundays between 2pm and 4pm.

Staff are always keen to hear from people willing to volunteer and all donations to the shop are very gratefully received with uplifts by arrangement.

Remember — Don’t Bin it — BRICC it! Ballantrae Rural Initiative Care in the Community Ltd works towards the aims and objectives of the organisation namely “ to provide care in the community for those unable to do so for themselves”.
