Carrick couples celebrate precious wedding memories
A SOUTH Ayrshire couple who met on a blind date have celebrated their diamond anniversary.
Sally Sinclair from Dalrymple was set up on a date with now husband of 60 years Jim, who hails from Shetland, and the pair later married at The Manse in Dalrymple.
The couple (pictured above left and centre), who now live in Ayr, have a son who lives in Malaysia and a grandson who is living with them while studying at university.
They were visited by Provost Helen Moonie and presented with a beautiful basket of flowers to mark their special occasion.

GOLDEN wedding bells were also in the air for Jim and Janet McGradey (pictured left) of Colmonell this month.
Their family held a surprise party for the pair at the Green Valley Golf Academy, Castle Kennedy, on Saturday November 17 in celebration of their 50 years of marriage the day before.
They were married at Cairnryan Church by Rev. Duncan.
