Could Tyson be your knockout?

The Scottish SPCA is seeking a good home for a big-hearted dog who has overcome his fears and is now ready to become part of a loving family.

Tyson, a gorgeous four year old crossbreed, came into the care of the charity’s Ayrshire and South West Scotland Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre at Mainholm, Ayr, when his previous owner could no longer look after him.

Scared and confused by the sudden change, Tyson retreated into his shell and was afraid to interact with other people and animals but after lots of tender loving care from staff at the centre his affectionate personality began to shine through.

Centre manager Marion Hainey said, “Tyson was very unsure when he first arrived in our care, but he’s come on in leaps and bounds and now he’s just a gorgeous big guy who dreams of having someone to love him and a home to call his own.

“He absolutely adores attention and loves playing with his squeaky toy, in fact, he hardly ever has it out of his mouth.

“Tyson’s ideal home would be one where his owner will spend lots of time playing fetch with him and taking him for walks.

“He could be rehomed to a family with older children and he may be suitable as a companion to another dog, depending on a successful introduction.

“We’d really love to see Tyson settled into a permanent home where he can enjoy all the creature comforts that a family pet deserves.”

Anyone interested in rehoming Tyson can call the Scottish SPCA Animal Helpline on 03000 999 999 and ask to be connected to the Ayrshire Centre.
