Maybole boy makes a splash for epilepsy

editorial image

A KIND-hearted Maybole kid has been paddling towards a nearly £400 sum for Epilepsy Scotland.

Calum Murray, 10, decided he wanted to do something in memory of family friend Rachael McKissock, who sadly passed away last year due to a seizure.

He came up with the idea of a sponsored swim and last Friday, after school, the Cairn Primary P6 pupil headed for Maybole Swimming Pool where he completed a quarter of a mile swim (16 lengths) and raised over £380 in aid of Epilepsy Scotland.

Anyone who would like to add to Calum’s fantastic total should visit www.virginmoneygiving.com/CalumJackMurray.
