The Kirkoswald Guild’s January meeting was held on Monday January 20 at 1.30pm in the Maidens Hall.
Our speaker was Bill Mackie, our interim moderator on his time as moderator of Ayr Presbytery. He showed slides of all the places he had visited in the year and gave an interesting and informed talk on his duties.
He turned the first sod at the new Carrick Centre in Maybole and was at the dedication of the new building which serves as the Church in Maybole, the first new church in Prebytery for many years.
Jim Colvin played the organ, which gave a warm welcome to people as they arrived and left and accompanied the hymns for us to sing.
A vote of thanks was given and tea served, a good afternoon had by all.
The meetings are held on the third Monday of the month. The next meeting will be on the 17 February, all are welcome, please come along and give us a try. The final meeting of the session will be in March.
