Smokey
Smokey

Smokey has been roaming about for a while and abandoned by his latest family, but is looking to settle into a new home for good!

We would like him to be rehomed away from Girvan as he has quite a large roaming range, so a new owner will need to strictly adhere to keep him inside, initially for a prolonged period until he has established himself in the hub of his new surroundings. We don’t know a great deal about him, although he can be quite timid around strangers and has been known to hide under the hedge. In fact he has spent most of his time out of doors, and at eleven years of age, he will need a very patient and experienced owner to help him settle indoors initially. He has been neutered, treated for fleas/worms and vaccinated, and a £50 adoption fee applies to cover this. If you think you can give Smokey a good home for the rest of his days, please contact our office on 08453 714216. Our thanks to Asda (Girvan) who is very kindly supporting the Cats Protection this month in a variety of ways so please do help them help us, and keep an eye out for our information board/bag pack day later on in March. Help with the cost of neutering your cat is also available all year round, but its especially important at this time of year, when the weather becomes better and our feline friends venture out more. We have approx 50 cats on our waiting list in South Ayrshire - they were all kittens once too, that people were happy to provide a home for. Again, contact our branch for more information on our neutering scheme.
