Colmonell SWRI members and friends departed from the community centre at 8.30 in the morning on Saturday, May 26, for their annual outing to Livingston. Lovely weather ensured an enjoyable journey as passengers boarded at various points from Lendalfoot to Ayr.

Lucky raffle winners were: 1. Madge McCalllum, 2. Beryl Howarth, 3. Isabel Miller, 4. Doreen Mitchell.

The coach arrived at the McArthur Glen shopping centre at 11.25 and the ladies were at leisure to shop and enjoy lunch. At 4.15, they departed for Strathaven, where they stopped for dinner at the Strathaven Hotel, A delicious meal was enjoyed before they all embarked for the journey home.

President Nancy Agnew thanked Ann Robertson for all her organisation of the trip and for assisting Tricia McIlwraith with the raffle. She also thanked their friendly coach driver for safely getting them all home where they arrived in Colmonell after nine at night after a long day but a very enjoyable one.
