Crosshill ladies hear gardening tips

CROSSHILL SWRI opened their March meeting with a welcome from President Creena Young followed by the rural song. Various points of business were discussed and plans made for entries in forthcoming shows.

Mrs Julie Shaw was then welcomed back to Crosshill to give more valuable gardening tips. Her demonstration was on the subject of hanging baskets and those present picked up some interesting ideas.Mrs Jean Wilson gave the vote of thanks.

Competition results were as follows; Jar of marmalade; 1st Jean Wilson, 2nd Mary Baird, 3rd Elizabeth McQuaker; Pot Plant, 1st Creena Young, 2nd Jean Wilson, 3rd Brenda McFadzean. Next meeting is AGM on 10th April.
