DIY disaster households in Carrick are being sought to take part in the second series of a home improvement television show.

Channel 5’s Half Built House, a four-episode property programme that aired in July, is seeking out people to take part in series two.

The show stars “tough talking property guru” Sian Astley, who helps those in the grip of pertually incomplete home improvements, or DIY novices whose homes are in need to some TLC, to achieve the preferred look for their pad.

“We’re looking for people whose homes are DIY disaster zones, who are rubbish at renovation and are in dire need of a property makeover by Sian Astley and her team, to take part in the new series,” a spokeswoman said.

“We want to hear from husbands who’ve taken down walls and never replaced them, families living under tarpaulin roofing, the hobbit home that is in reality a muddy mess or the dream manor house that’s DIY disaster after disaster.”

Anyone interested should send some information on the current state of their home and how the team can help, plus contact details and photos of the property, to halfbuilthouse@zodiakmedia.com.
