Girvan Folk Club is delighted to welcome back Irish duo Brendan Hendry and Johnny Toman to the club on Friday 18th November.
Fiddler Brendan hails from Bellaghy in South Derry and was awarded Musician of the Year at the liveIreland Music Awards in 2012. Noted for his impeccable style and taste Brendan is rated as one of the most stunningly gifted musicians around with a grasp of the music and soulful playing which defines what the Irish fiddle is all about.
No less talented Lurgan based Jonny’s skill on the 5 string banjo are also drawing critical acclaim and brought together the duo create a unique and powerful sound, effortlessly melding the best of Irish, bluegrass and Americana music. The duo recently released their stunning debut album, Living Roots, which will form the backdrop to the evening’s proceedings. This is a rare chance to see two of the finest musicians from across the water and an opportunity not to be missed. The Concert kicks off at 8.30pm with tickets priced £8 available at the door.
