Maybole’s Kayleigh Haggo is part of the Scottish para-swim squad and she trains with South Ayrshire swim team. Her dream and aim is to swim at the Paralympics in Tokyo 2020.

On Saturday, October 17 from10am till 3pm, a fundraising car boot sale will be held at St Cuthbert’s Business Centre car park in Maybole. For those not from the town the post code is KA19 7HA and the car park is just down from the library as you head for Crosshill.

Pitch prices will be cars £5, vans £10 and any donations would also be appreciated.

There will be a raffle as well and prizes include a winter service for your car from RA Garage Services, a full valet from Maybole Auto Valet Services and various other prizes.

There will be free refreshments available for each car booter.

To book a pitch – message Jim Mitchell on facebook, text only to 07909971954 or email kitwash@aol.com.

This is a great chance to get rid of stuff cluttering up your garage, loft, spare room etc. and also to raise some money to help Kayleigh on her way.

Book early to avoid disappointment; there are about 30 pitches available on a first come first serve basis and please tell friends and family to go along as well.
