The finale of Ayrshire Business Week will be a sweet way to support the Ayrshire Hospice Go Purple Day.
The final event in October, run by the Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce, coincides with the local charity’s purple-themed fundraising day, and this year the chamber team have come up with a tasty and fun way to raise money.
‘Cream of Ayrshire’ will see local ice-cream makers go head to head with their own unique purple ice cream. Our panel of judges including Mandy Yule, CEO of the Hospice, will blind-taste the entries before announcing the winner.
The National Trust for Scotland will host the event which includes a tour of the Burns Birthplace Museum.
Tickets cost £15 and £5 from every booking will be donated to the hospice.
Val Russell, Ayrshire Chamber CEO, said: “We are delighted to support the Go Purple Day for the third year and would encourage all businesses to participate, particularly in this 25th Anniversary year.
“It’s all about putting the fun into fundraising and this event is a great way to support this fantastic cause.
“There are a number of ways you can get involved in Go Purple Day and it can be as simple as a purple dress-down day at work or an afternoon tea with purple cakes etc, or coming along to our event.”
