Popular Barrhill organist Marie Mortimer is set to perform at the Ayr Town Hall later this month.

Marie, who is the organist at Girvan’s North Parish Church and a former accompanist to Ken Dodd will perform on Monday 27th October between between 12 and 1pm.

It is part of Fort, Seafield and Wallacetoun Community council Luminate series of concerts which are entitled “Two Hands, Two feet, 27 stops” as part of the creative ageing festival held throughout Scotland in October.

Admission to the concerts are only £2.00 and the previous weeks will see Dr John Kitchin from Edinburgh perform on Monday 6th October before Gordon Cree an international organist from Darvel performs on 13th October.

Performing the week before Marie will be Gordon Crier, the organist at the Stow Brae Kirk in Paisley.

These concerts are an hour of music for the whole community as these perfomers including Marie bring the organ to life.
