15 Dairy Cattle sold at our weekly sale with a poorer show on offer with correct types selling to recent high rates. Top price f the day was a freshly Holstein Heifer off Messrs Kennedy, East Cairngillan and was sold for £2050. The whole sale averaged £1515.

Craig Wilson Ltd, Livestock Auction Mart had forward 3288 sheep compromising 2326 Prime Lambs, 962 Cast Ewes & Tups.

Prime Lambs sold to a top price of 202.4p/kg for a pen of 42kg Beltex Lambs from Knockterra Farms, Knockterra, Auchenleck, with the overall average being 173.6 pence per kilo (-13.1pence on the week). All weights of Lambs proved harder to cash especially lambs which lacked flesh and lambs weighing less than 40kgs.
