Old Daily SWRI meeting

President Moira Yuille welcomed members to the March meeting.

We began by singing the rural song. Apologies were given and minutes of previous meeting read by secretary Jane Pitt. Our May outing to Castle Douglas was discussed and arrangements confirmed. Finance report and Handiwives report were given.

Congratulations were given as old Dailly had won Gavel for best Syllabus. Macmillan Coffee Morning will be held on 29th Sept 2013.

Thank you letter had been received from CAN for donation given. President then welcomed Ann Johnston and Anna McClelland who were giving us a demonstration on Decoupage. Ann gave an amusing introduction on how they had got started on this hobby before showing examples of their lovely work. We then had some hands on time making cards. This was enjoyed by everyone especially when we had something to show for our efforts. Vote of thanks was given by Rosemary Close. Competition: 3 Wheaten scones: 1 Anne Heriot 2 Celia Tierney 3 Moira Yuille; Mitts: 1 Patricia Watts 2 Celia Tierney. President then closed meeting and wished everyone safe journey home.
