From seven o’clock on Saturday night, ITV will be devoting the next two and a half hours to the final of Britain’s Got Talent.

It will be interesting to see who will be the winner this year. Will it be a singer or a singing group? Will it be one of the dance acts? Could it be the illusionist? Or the violinist? And who will get the Wild Card? At the moment any act could end up winning.

Then on Sunday night ITV will be looking for another winner in Soccer Aid 2014. An England Team will be pitting their footballing skills against a Rest of the World Team.

Four hours will kick off with a pre-match special at six o’clock hosted by Cat Deeley. It will be looking at all the work that has gone into preparing for the match. It should also include comments from the various famous players who will be taking part in the game. One of the reasons why a programme such as this is popular is that it allows viewers a chance of seeing some of their favourite TV personalities doing something a bit different. The two teams will be made up of famous people from the worlds of football and showbusiness including Robbie Williams, Michael Sheen, John Bishop, Gordon Ramsay, James McAvoy, Patrick Kielty, Andriy Shevchenko, Alessandro Del Piero, Kevin Bridges, Edwin van der Sar – amongst others. The hosts for the match will be Kirsty Gallacher and Dermot O’Leary. The money raised from the event will go to a good cause - the work of UNICEF. It is a football match which should well prove to be popular with more than the usual fans of the ‘beautiful game.’
