Traffic chaos after lorry tips over

THE A77 was closed for most of Wednesday after a lorry tipped over.

It took salvage teams almost 24 hours to recover the stricken truck, which tipped at 4.30pm on Tuesday.
Specialist equipment was required to lift the lorry back onto its wheels and the driver was taken to hospital for treatment to an injury on his hand.
Traffic was diverted via the A714 to Newton Stewart.
