Last month, we told you about kind-hearted Abbie Valdrighi raising funds for a charity that provides real hair wigs for childhood hair loss conditions.

Last Thursday, November 13, a total of 12” of Abbie’s hair was cut off and sent to the Little Princess Trust.

By the time of her haircut a total of £727.50 had been raised although this figure is still rising.

Abbie, aged 12, would like to say a huge thank you to Allison Blane, from the Cutting Room, for giving up her own time and pampering Abbie!

She would also like to thank everyone who donated and helped to spread the word.

The Trust is a children’s cancer charity and supplies real-hair wigs to children suffering with cancer, for the duration of their treatment. It also assists children with other conditions which also result in hair loss, the most common being alopecia.

The wigs are provided are free to children. However, the cost to the charity to purchase one wig is on average £350.
