THE Kirkoswald, Maidens and Turnberry Community Action Plan, prepared over the last eight months, is to be launched at an Open Meeting in Maidens Primary School on Saturday, June 2 between 2.30 and 4pm.
It tells the story of the community as it is now, how the community would like to see it change for the better and what the committee plan to do to make that happen over the next five years.
Alan Tuff said: “To achieve what we have set out, it will be important for us to work in partnership with both private business interests and public agencies.
“We have invited Hugh Hutchison from Catrine Community Trust to tell us the story of the successful heritage and environmental projects in and around their village and Wendy Reid the Development Officer from the Development Trusts Association Scotland so that we can learn how other communities have got themselves organised to develop local projects.
“Everybody with an interest in the future of Kirkoswald, Maidens and Turnberry is welcome. Please come along and support the launch of the plan.
“We are grateful to South Ayrshire Council and Ayrshire LEADER European funding for the resources they provided to enable the preparation of the plan.”
