Ballantrae’s medical team scoop prestigious award

Staff at Ballantrae Medical Practice are celebrating are receiving a prestigious award from the Royal College of General Practitioners.

The GP partners and staff were successful in achieving the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) Quality Practice Award.

Anne Love, Practice Manager at Ballantrae Medical Practice, said: “This was a five-year project for Ballantrae Medical Practice.

“It followed on from our successful achievement of the Practice Accreditation Award in 2004 (which was valid for five years).

“Working towards this award has helped us to continue to develop protocols and systems to maintain a high quality of patient care for all our patients.”

The RCGP Quality Practice Award is given to GP practices in the UK to show recognition for high quality patient care by all members of staff in the team.

It is awarded following the successful submission of relevant information and also includes a practice visit by a team of RCGP QPA Assessors.

The QPA award is valid for five years during which time the Practice will maintain and extend the high quality of care.

It is testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone working in the practice that they have received this recognition.”
