Pupils at Barrhill Primary school are taking part in this year’s Micro Tyco challenge.
They were given an original investment of just one pound and are challenged to turn that into a larger sum to be used to help the world’s poorest people work their own way out of poverty.
The kids at Barrhill invested the money initially in some love that they sold for valentine’s day, turning their pound into £25. They re-invested that and turned it into £46.00 and this week had the idea of holding a Micro Tyco day at the school. The kids all ran the stalls themselves, and took their total to £272.00.
Watch this space to see what they do next to increase their funds. The pupils of Barrhill Primary school would like to thank all of the volunteers who helped to make their Micro Tyco day a success.
