ALL THOSE wishing to take part in Carrick’s latest club – the 50/50 Club – will need to get their pennies prepped quick for the chance to be quids-in.

A version of the traditional ‘100 club’, for £1 a month - or £12 a year - 50/50 club members will be entered into a monthly draw to win prizes of £25 or £10. And the end of the year will see one big winner getting £215 in their pocket!

Each month 50 per cent of members’ fees will go into the fundraising pot for Girvan’s planned harbourside multi-faceted facility – hence the club’s catchy name.

The first draw will take place this Friday February 15. Thereafter winners will be drawn on the fourth Friday of every month to November, after which alternative arrangements will be made to tie in with Girvan gala days.

To be in with a chance of cashing in on the first draw, submit your completed 50/50 Club form and payment details to South Carrick Community Leisure Secretary Eleanor McCarrey at 13 Kirkpatrick Street, Girvan, by 4.30pm this Thursday February 14.

Registration forms can be found in most shops in Girvan and the surrounding villages, inclduing the Carrick Buildings, Ailsa Horizons, and the Carrick Gazette office at 32 Dalrymple Street.
