award-winning Girvan butcher We Hae Meat has picked more awards for its collection with another four prizes earlier this month.
The Girvan butcher picked up a Gold and a Silver award in the Meat to Go event hosted by the Scottish Federation of Meat Traders.
Alex and Caroyln Paton’s business was up against the top craft butchers in Scotland two months ago in March.
And at the Scottish Meat Trades Fair in Perth this month, they collected their prizes.
We Hae Meat’s Haggis Truffle, Beef and Tomato Parcel and Luxury Beef Olives impressed the judges.
Meat To Go 2011 had three categories – Ready to Cook, Ready To Heat and Beefburger.
We Hae Meat won Gold for Haggis Truffle and Silver for Beefburger, Beef and Tomato Parcel and Luxury Beef Olives.
Tony Chalkley, Retail Manager of We hae meat said: “We are delighted to have won these awards.
Our staff all work so hard to come up with new and innovative products to offer to our customers and it is great to see them receiving recognition for this.
“We entered four products into the competition and would have been happy with one prize but to win with all four, we are just over the moon!”
