One of the highlights of the Girvan calendar is upon the town on Friday, December 5 with the annual street party.
The Christmas Street Party creates a fantastic atmosphere in the town in the lead up to the festive period and this year is set to be no different.
The programme of fun gets underway at 5.30pm with a service in the Methodist Church in Dalrymple Street which will last around 45 minutes.
After the service is finished, the snow King and Queen will turn on the Christmas Lights to brighten up the town and make it really feel like Christmas is here.
Following that, there will be a parade of Santa and Reindeer masks in the town whilst Santa’s grotto will also be available to visit in a revamped Stumpy Tower.
There is plenty fun for all the family to enjoy during the street party night with lots of different stalls showcasing their goods, whilst the childrens rides are sure to keep the young ones entertained.
There will also be music on the street, a magician, a clown, a stilt walker, circus performers and balloon modellers making Girvan the place to be on Friday night.
A group of volunteers have ensured that this years street party will be of the highest standard once again and on the night be sure to get yourself a ticket for Girvan Youth Trust’s Christmas Toy Raffle.
