Gardenrose Primary School pupil Brooke Shaw entered Show Racism the Red Card’s National Anti-racism competition.

Brooke’s entry was a fantastic educational Powerpoint presentation about why racism is wrong. She was a winner in the primary 6-7 category. Brooke attended the awards ceremony which was held at Hampden Park, the home of Scottish Football with her proud mum and was presented with a signed Kilmarnock top by David Tanner from Sky Sports, Scotland Women’s National team coach Anna Signeul and Police Scotland’s Stephen Canale.

The competition sends a clear message that young people want Scotland to be a welcoming and multi-cultural society. Alyshia Walker from Glasgow City FC; Mark Hateley, Rangers FC ambassador, and Craig Gordon from Celtic FC also attended the event. See page 5.
