Cancer support brings sunshine to the shore

AYRSHIRE Cancer Support will brighten up Ayr Promenade next month with a fun run in the sun.

In the absence of summer weather the charity has decided to make their own, with every participating adult given a yellow Ayrshire Cancer Support t-shirt to wear and every child a baseball cap.

The charity, which is celebrating its 30-year anniversary this year, says it will put every penny raised or donated towards their services, providing transport, counselling and therapy to cancer patients in Ayrshire.

Entry costs £10 per adult and £6 per child (under 5s are free). Registration is at 12 noon and the fun starts with comedian Billy Kirkwood,

Karen Murrie will again provide the warm up to get everyone energized to race or walk along the prom at 1pm.

For your chance to join the Sunshine Run contact Gail Anderson at Ayrshire Cancer Support on 01563 538008 or email Gail at andersong@ayrshirecs.org.
