Show secretary Lorraine Murdoch and chairman Billy Robb thanked everyone who helped make the event a big success, from sponsors andadvertisers, stock exhibitors, trade stands and the committee who all work very hard to set up the event at Ayr Racecourse.
Special thanks are due to Clerk of The Course Emma Marley and her team for helping with the groundwork and making the showground and its surrounding area such a magnificent spectacle. Ms Murdoch said: “The costs involved in running such an event are always increasing and new ways of raising money have always to be looked at. We are very dependent on local people and businesses helping us to do this. We can only express our sincere thanks to all those involved in making the show and other fundraising events a huge success.
“Two weeks ago, a Ladies Lunch to raise money for the Show was held at Seamill Hydro, where 280 ladies attended a wonderful day which involved a cookery demonstration, lunch and a superb fashion show by Shimmer, 40a Dalymple Street, Girvan.
“We are very grateful to all who attended as this event raised more than £3000.”
