Invergarven School hosted its annual Garden Party recently - an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the children and young people throughout the year.

Parents, carers, partners and the local community attended the event and were also joined by local councillors and councillor Toner, Portfolio Holder for Lifelong Learning.

There was a barbecue and many stalls including face painting, home baking, enterprise and a silent auction.

At the awards ceremony pupils were presented with certificates from guest presenters. There was also a presentation trophy for Junior and Senior Stars of the Year.

Stuart Watson from Ayr United Football Club was presented with the ‘Coach of the Year’ award.

Two senior pupils, Derek Mitchell and Jodi Morrison also received graduation trophies, as they move on to their next stage of life.

It was a fantastic event and the sun shone on the day!

Head Teacher, Jane Gordon, would like to thank parents and the local community for their support and generosity. She would also like to thank the wonderful staff of Invergarven School for their hard work and commitment throughout the year.
