This Saturday, November 28, will be a busy day for members of Maybole Community Association.

Normally the town’s Christmas Bazaar and the Christmas Lights switch on are on different days.

This year, however, both events will be held on the same day. The Christmas Bazaar will open in Maybole Town Hall from 10.30am to 12.30pm and the good news is that Santa will be there in his grotto.

Each year, local groups take stalls to raise funds and are well supported. Enquiries about late availability should be emailed to sharlenebone@hotmail.co.uk.

The build up to the Christmas Lights switch on starts at 3.30pm, again in the Town Hall, when entertainment will be provided by Mandy’s Dance School as well as Gardenrose, Cairn and St Cuthbert’s Primaries. Then at 4pm there will be a disco for all children up to P7. Entry £1.50. 12-15 year-olds disco is 6.30-8pm.

The official Christmas Lights switch on will be at 5.45pm and will be attended by the Gala King and Queen of Carrick, Provost Moonie, local councillors as well as Santa!
