The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service crew at Colmonell fire station held a retirement ceremony for watch manager Ronnie O’Hare at their training night on Wednesday 7 October.

Ronnie was in service for a total of 32 years at the Colmonell station, becoming Watch Manager in 2001 and he was in charge of the crew until his recent retirement.

Ronnie is pictured receiving a fire fighting figurine from Colmonell crew manager Gordon Hyslop as a gift from the crew and on today’s front page he is receiving a commemorative certificate and silver tally from Ayrshire Area Commander of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service James Scott.

The crew wish Ronnie a happy retirement and wish him all the best for the future.
