President Nancy Agnew welcomed everyone to their AGM and presentation evening at Craigiemains Garden Centre, Ballantrae.

Nancy announced that Colmonell WRI had enjoyed a good year with a healthy competition entry. She read out the voting results to the ladies; vice-president; Beryl Howarth presented the prizes to the competition winners.

1 Pauline Wood; 31 points - Rose Bowl 2 Nancy Agnew; 27pts - large cup; 3 Janet McGradey; 23pts - small cup

This year a glass trophy was presented to members with most entries but not on the prize list.

The winners with equal points were Ann Robertson and Margaret Robertson who will share the trophy.

A delicious supper of sandwiches with carious fillings followed by cakes was enjoyed with tea and coffee. The special raffle was drawn; 1 Anna Ferguson 2 Irene Falls 3 Irene Wilson

Secretary Margaret Robertson read out an interesting yearly report with a varied programme of events. Treasurer Ann Robertson handed out the financial report. She annouced that expenditure had risen this year but their balance was healthy.

Nancy thanked the staff for their enjoyable supper and looked forward to welcoming members and friends to their annual summer outing to Livingstone on Saturday, May 26 leaving Colmonell Community Centre at 8.30am.

The ladies were at leisure to purchase plants and gifts if desired before heading home.
