Girvan photographer Donald Love was a double winner in the recent camera club competition.
When Paul Walker, the judge of the recent competition, was giving feedback to the members who had submitted pictures in the “Portraits” competition, he described the various things he had taken into account when he was judging the entries.
These included the story the photographer was trying to tell, the subject itself, whether any digital enhancements were obvious (they shouldn’t be), whether the picture was crisp and sharp, whether there were any distractions in the background, and the overall impact of the image.
He was very complimentary about all of the images submitted and, in particular, the images from Donald Love of Girvan who scooped first prize in both the prints and digital images sections of the competition, with ‘Guitar Man’.
