On Friday 24th March, pupils from Girvan Primary School wowed audiences with their talents in an evening of entertainment in the theatre at Girvan Academy.

The show was made up of eleven acts that included singers, dancer, magicians, musicians and even comedians!

Performers included Megan Kerr P3, Abigail McEwan Blair P3, Alexander Ronald P4, John Tait P4, Emily Ball P4, Daisy Bell P5, Catherine Lowe P5, Aicha Boudlal P5, Olivia Thorpe P5, Shay Burns P5, Dylan Campbell P6, Summer Galloway P6 and Greg Brown P7.

A judging panel consisting of local councillor Alec Clark, David Hunter - leader of Burns’s Bairns and Elaine Scobie, former manager of Children 1st, were there to offer pupils praise and feedback on the night.

The panel had a tough decision but awarded first place to theatrical singer Aicha Boudlal who gave a magical performance of “How Far I’ll Go” from Disney’s Moana.

The evening was well attended by parents and family members of Girvan Primary School and the raffle supported by local businesses – Turnberry Hotel, Pebbles Spa and Hendrie’s Butcher - raised an amazing total of £645 for Girvan Primary’s link school, Juliet Johnson in Ghana.

Girvan Primary’s Pupil Council would like to extend a huge thanks to all those who supported the event!
