The A.D Rattray whisky experience in Kirkoswald has received top marks from a renowned website.

Trip Advisor reviews have meant the attraction has received a five out of five rating and staff were recently presented with a certificate of excellence award.

Managing Director Nick White said: “To get reviews like this on Trip Advisor help us greatly and long may it continue.

“In the next couple of months we are expecting a re-grading from Visit Scotland and I am 95% confident that we will get that five star rating.

“When they visited in May 2012, it was only minor things that stopped us then.

“Over half of our visitors are from overseas, and we’ve got links with golf tours and places like Turnberry, Culzean and Brunston.

“Raphael brings a wealth of experience to the visitors having spent nine years at Turnberry in the bar and he gives everyone undivided attention and is on hand to answer any questions.

“Emma is fully trained up as well to give visitors the full experience when Raph is off.

“We are making changes right now to offer even more of a whisky experience.”
