FUNDING has been made available to community projects in Carrick and locals are urged to apply.
The money is available through a project from the Royal Bank of Scotland, which launched last week, called CommunityForce.
The new initiative aims to help support local charities, organisations and groups to raise publicity for their work and attract volunteers. The programme also provides the opportunity to receive funding through our CommunityForce awards.
In each of our 158 individual CommunityForce areas in the UK we will be offering three local projects the chance to win awards of £6,000 each. One of the funds, totalling £18,000, will be available to communities in Carrick including Girvan and Maybole, with three separate projects in line to receive an award.
Fiona Easton was recently appointed Local CEO for RBS in the region.
Fiona said said: “RBS has a long and proud history of supporting communities in the area and I’m delighted to launch CommunityForce locally.
Giving the community the chance to vote for the award winners will ensure these funds go to the organisations local people value the most.
CommunityForce is part of our ongoing commitment to support the communities where we live and work; not just by donating funds, but also through volunteering time and expertise”
Organisations and charities can apply for a CommunityForce award at www.rbs.com/communityforce between July 25 and September 4.
