Girvan lifeboat called out to help motorcruiser

The Girvan Lifeboat was called out on the day of the General Election (Thursday 7 May) to help a motor cruiser which had got into trouble.

The Ruby Ann cruiser, had experienced engine trouble close to the Horse Rocks and sent out the call for help.

At around 10.50am on the day, the lifeboat under the guidance of Deputy Coxswain Colin Davidson launched and a short time later they towed the motor cruiser back into Girvan Harbour.

Remember the lifeboat crew are always on call and are dedicated to saving lives at sea
