Girvan man charged in murder inquiry

A third man has been charged in connection with the murder of Girvan man John Kiltie.

Adam Lundy, 27, from Girvan, is accused of murdering 44-year-old Mr Kiltie on Saturday, May 28.

At Ayr Sheriff Court on Tuesday, May 31, Lundy was also charged with assault and carrying an offensive weapon.

He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.

Two other men are also in custody after appearing at Ayr Sheriff Court on Monday, May 30.

Kern Allison, 18, and Nicholas Goodwin, 24, are also accused of murdering Mr Kiltie.

Allison, whose address was given as Maybole, and Goodwin, from Ayr, both made no plea or declaration and were remanded in custody.

Police were called to Park Road in Girvan on Saturday, May 28 at around 11am after reports of a disturbance.

Mr Kiltie, a father of four, was pronounced dead at the scene.
