Be Safe, Be Seen – that’s the message being promoted by a Girvan funeral director. The Co-operative Funeralcare in Dalrymple Street, has donated reflective badges to local youngsters.

The yellow high visibility pin-badges were presented to pupils, aged between three and five at Girvan Nursery School last week. Eleanor Rae from the Co-op said: “We are helping to raise awareness of the importance of road safety by providing the reflective stickers and helping children be seen. “With the clocks due to go back, darker mornings and evenings mean youngsters need to take even more care on their way to and from school.” The youngsters are pictured above receiving the badges from Eleanor.
