Girvan’s street party takes place this Friday

Girvan Christmas Street Party will be taking place THIS Friday (6 December)! This year’s event will see the first year of a Snow King & Queen chosen from the local primary schools.

The evening will feature a range of entertainments from live music, provided by Girvan Youth Trust, to balloon modellers, Punch and Judy and Stiltwalkers!

If your child made a lantern at the primary school then they can line the street for Santa’s parade and can choose to join in with the following parade if they wish. Each child will receive a light for their lantern upon arrival in the street.

Dalrymple Street will close at 5.00pm and from then on any stall holders can come and set up. The Church service will be taking place at 5.30pm in the Methodist Church and around 6.15pm Santa will make his way up the street to his grotto!
