The future of Brunston Castle Golf Course is still uncertain as members and staff await the arrival of liquidators.
Members of the golf club, which is based at the course, have not heard from DMH Leisure, the company which owns the course, over the holidays but it is expected that liquidators will be appointed within the next few days.
As revealed in last week’s Gazette, directors of the company arrived from their Northern Ireland base a week ago to lay off staff and announce that the Dailly course would be going into liquidation. However, since then members of the local club have been keeping the course open for their members with the agreement of the company.
