Are you reliable with good social and communication skills? Do you have an interest in activities, and working with people in a health and social care setting?

Then volunteering at NHS Ayrshire & Arran could be for you.

Volunteering can be a great boost to self-esteem, a chance to meet new people, and an opportunity to gain new skills and experience.

There are various opportunities for volunteer roles across Ayrshire. We are looking for people who can spare a few hours a week in any of the following volunteering roles: Gardeners, hydrotherapy volunteers, public representatives, mealtime volunteers and welcomers.

Andrew Moore, Assistant Nurse Director, explains: “We are currently asking people to give as much or as little time as they can to join our friendly team of existing volunteers who provide a vital service within our hospitals.”

The next mealtime volunteers training day is on Wednesday 27 October with limited places. To find our more call Gill Rogers on 01292 513669 or email gill.rogers@aapct.scot.nhs.uk.
