A PAIR of Carrick residents who have interest in their community were rewarded for taking part in a community engagement project.

Terri Bell and Charlene Bennie won themselves a new Ipod for completing a survey distributed by Carrick Community Councils’ Forum. The survey was designed to allow local resident to get their views on what they think will improve the area they live.

The Forum’s New Media officer, Ashley Murphy, said: “I am pleased to see so many young people participating in the recent community engagement survey.

Terri added: “I’m so happy, I never win anything. I was also pleased to be asked my opinion about what is happening locally.”

Over 600 youths from all over Carrick completed the survey, including Charlene. The survey received over 1750 responses.
