Anger at Olympic torch plans

THERE is anger in Maybole this week after the torch bearers for the Olympic torch route were revealed which appear to have runners from towns in Carrick carrying the flame through different communities.

Community council chairman David Kiltie said he thought the situation was total nonsense with an athlete from Maybole running through Girvan and one from Norway running through Maybole.
