Business Gateway open new premises
Business Gateway reaffirmed its commitment to supporting local businesses when it opened its new premises.
The new premises at Heathfield in Ayr provide improved facilities and will allow Business Gateway to develop their services throughout Ayrshire - complementing the work being carried out at local offices within North and East Ayrshire.
Local businesses attended the launch, where they heard about the support available to growing businesses and the exciting new programme of events for existing companies.
There was also valuable information on business strategies – vital to local business at a time of considerable challenges. Councillor Willie Gibson, Leader of North Ayrshire Council, said: “Business Gateway provides an invaluable service, particularly in the present economic climate.
“Business Gateway is working to develop its service to ensure that local business gets the best possible support. The opening of these new premises shows their commitment to constantly improve the service they provide.” Councillor Bill McIntosh, Leader of South Ayrshire Council said: “Business Gateway is a positive example of North, South and East Ayrshire Councils working together to support local businesses.
“Whether a new business or an established one Business Gateway is providing new facilities and a programme of events to encourage businesses to establish and flourish in Ayrshire.”
Councillor Douglas Reid, Leader of East Ayrshire Council said: “We look forward to building strong links between the support the Council provides to our business base and the work that Gateway will be providing on our behalf.”
