A primary school pupil from Dailly has raised a whopping £1254.37 for Cancer Research.

Nine year old Stuart Clanahan ran the Cancer Resarch 5k Race For Life in Irvine last month to help support his teacher of three years at the school, Mrs Torbett who had been diagnosed with cancer.

Two other teachers at the school Miss Fenton and Mrs Mitchell ran the race alongside Stuart as they are close friends with Mrs Torbett.

Running on what was his 9th birthday, Stuart put in a fantastic effort to raise the magnificent sum for the charity.
