Drink driving in Girvan lands woman in custody

A WOMAN accused of drink driving in Girvan has spent her weekend in the cells.

A 47-year-old woman was apprehended by police at 7.55pm on Saturday to the south of Girvan town centre.

She entered a plea of not guilty when she appeared before Ayr Sheriff Court on Monday, and will appear again in May.

A MAYBOLE man appeared at court this week on breach of the peace charges.

The 35-year-old was confronted by police at around 2.30pm on Friday February 15 and ordered to attend court on Monday. He pleaded not guilty, and will appear again next month.
