Fatal accident on railway line

A MAN has died after having been hit by a train on the Girvan-Stranraer railway.

It is believed the man fell under a train as it approached Stranraer station last Tuesday night.

The line between Girvan and Stranraer was closed while emergency services dealt with the accident, which happened at around 9pm.
