Funding success for Ayrshire charity

Local charity Broken Chains (Ayr) Ltd has secured £3,000 of funding in the latest round of awards from Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland. The money will be used to help pay the salary of their part-time support worker.

Mary Craig OBE, Chief Executive of Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland, said: “Broken Chains works with people experiencing a range of issues, from drug and alcohol issues to homelessness and provides a range of help including one to one support and practical help with day to day essentials such as food and furniture.

“This sort of support makes a massive difference to people’s day to day lives, and what is particularly impressive is how well this charity works with other local groups. We know that having basic costs such as salaries covered means people can get on with putting their efforts into delivering their much needed services.”
