Girvan bike thefts

GIRVAN Police are warning the town’s bicycle owners to secure their property after two cycle thefts in one weekend.

On Friday October 5 a peddle bike was stolen from the southern part of the town while unsecured, and between October 5 and 7 another cycle went missing from the Girvan Primary School area while left unlocked.

PC Craig O’Neill of Girvan Police Office advised bike owners to use a bike lock at every opportunity and not to leave unsecured bikes unattended.

Tips on how to keep your bike safe and secure are available from UK National Property Register, Immobilise, at www.immobilise.com.
