A business in a prominent Girvan town centre location, and part of the town’s regeneration plans, is set to go under the hammer next week.
Home Essentials, situated at 50 Dalrymple Street next to William Hill bookmakers is up for auction in Dalry on Thursday August 7 for £75,000.
And for that price the winning bidder will not only be getting the shop but also a three apartment flat above the shop which is accessed by separate entry next door.
The flat comprises of a reception Hall, lounge, kitchen, two double Bedrooms and a bathroom.
The flat is also double glazed and radiators have also been fitted for central heating.
However, the kitchen and the bathroom would be required to be refurbished by the new tenant as they were damaged by burst pipes a few years ago.
There is also scope for the new owner to further develop as there is a large area of ground to the rear of the property offering approximately a quarter acre to expand although it is understood that the back of the shop is said to be in a state of serious disrepair.
And as for the shop itself it is double windowed with a bright front retail area along with an extensive storage area as well as a kitchen area.
The auction for the property will take place from 7pm onwards at the auction site just outside Dalry in North Ayrshire.
The property is set to be viewed twice before the auction date from 12.30pm-1pm today (Wednesday 30th July) and also on Monday August 4th at the same time.
It is just one of the shops in the town centre that has been targeted as part of a regeneration effort for Girvan in a bid to improve its image.
